Funding sources for postgraduate study are available from the University of Cambridge and external sources such as UK Research Councils and industry.

The university’s main internal sources of funding are Cambridge Trust, Gates Cambridge Trust, Harding Distinguished Postgraduate Scholars Programme (HDPSP), Research Councils (UKRI) and Colleges and Departments. Every year the University of Cambridge awards over £100m in scholarships to new postgraduate students.
Many scholarship deadlines are in early December and January for admission in the following year, so we advise to start looking for funding opportunities and apply for admission to this course as early as possible.
There are many external funding opportunities for postgraduate study. Each external funding body will have a separate application process and deadline to the University of Cambridge. More information can be found at:
A lot of external funders from around the world are partnered with the Cambridge Trust. You are able to find these funds listed in the Postgraduate Funding Search.
The search has several filters (such as nationality, country of residence, qualification) so that you can find the funds that are best suited to you and your prospective course.
